I'm supposed to wait and write these with my FG but I don't want to forget so I'm going to put these ones down in writing now...
1. Take golf lessons
2. Go white-water rafting
3. Have a better relationship with dad and his kids
4. Start tutoring and/or mentoring teenagers
5. Finalize MBA program details
6. Pay off loans and credit cards, student loans excluded
7. Get Kona to stop whining
8. Get a job promotion
9. Go to New Mexico for the hot air balloon festival
10. Help Ashlee figure her life out...school, job, car, apartment
This blog is about anything I feel like writing about, ranging from family to friends to my crazy adventures with Brian. Mostly I want to write about stuff so that I can read it years down the road and have a good laugh at myself and the memories!

Christmas Vacation So Far...
Well so far I'm not that happy with my trip to SoDak. Family is crazy! But, I'm having a good time hanging out with my sisters and niece Joey, as I knew I would! My friends Jen and Dallas are being just as they usually are - awesome and very understanding of the craziness. My younger sister Ashlee may be coming back to Denver with me for awhile. I need to help her get her shit together so that she can do something with herself instead of turning in to a stripper in RC, SD. I'm a little bit torn about it but only for selfish reasons - I like having my own space! We'll figure it out though...
I have to go to my grandparents house tonight...not too excited about that. My dad's going to be there and I have to figure out how to deal with my crazy grandma...there's a theme going on here that I just figured out and I think it's the main reason I don't come back often...CRAZY!! Thankfully I just have to deal with today and a little bit of tomorrow then I'm homeward bound! I was originally thinking of staying until late tomorrow afternoon but I'm thinking I'm going to leave around 2 or 3 now...I'm ready for the sanctuary of home!

Christmas
Well, tomorrow morning I am headed to South Dakota to spend the holidays with my family. I cannot wait to see my niece Joey and hold her in my arms, hopefully I will get to hear her laugh too! I haven't seen her since October and I'm sure she is getting pretty big by now! I will be staying with my best friends Jen and Dallas at their place in RC. My mom lives in Custer now so I'll be commuting up there on Christmas Day and spending as much time as possible with my sisters and my mom's fiance Rich. I will be spending Christmas Eve with my Shedeed family. I got talked into that by my Grandma Donna. She told me that my uncle Troy and aunt Jennie will be in town that night. She's also going to try to get my dad there...that should be interesting...details to come! I'm definitely going to need to drink!
While I'm in town I will also get to go to the Lakota Nation Invitational. I'm pretty excited about that! I haven't been to the basketball tourney since I lived in SD and it will be great to see some good ball being played. I also have about a 90% chance of running into some of my other family members so I'm excited about that too!
Tomorrow night I'm supposed to be hanging out with all of my good high school friends. I left them in charge of the details so I'm not exactly sure what to expect, but I know we'll have fun regardless!
An update on how Christmas actually went will be given on Wednesday of next week...stay tuned and have a Merry Christmas!
Dang it...that made me remember New Year's Eve...so far, no plans...hopefully something will come up in the next week...or I'll just have to sit at home and nurse the bottle of Grey Goose that my AWESOME boss Lance gave me for Xmas...yummy!

Lovesick
I'm in definite twitterpation and am slightly lovesick right now...though not quite to the extent described below (from Urban Dictionary)
However, every little thing that comes together perfectly encourages this ridiculousnous!! But for whatever reason, things keep working out and I think I'm just going to have to let this happen...even if it means I hit the bottom and there's no cushion.
twitterpated:
An enjoyable disorder characterized by feelings of excitement, anticipation, high hopes, recent memories of interludes, giddiness, and physical overstimulation which occur simultaneously when experiencing a new love. These feelings take over without warning, usually at odd times (such as at a check-out line), with or without the partner present, and make it difficult to concentrate on anything but romance. They interfere with work and safe driving, but should be experienced at least once in every person's lifetime.
lovesick:
So deeply affected by love as to be unable to act normally. You awake every morning, thinking of your love, having dreamt of them all night, the pain of seperation searing your heart every time a site or smell brings back the memory of your last encounter. Daydreaming, drawing hearts in the sand, constantly thinking "I wish they were here so I could share this moment" even when pulling weeds or walking the dog. The consuming fire within the heart for even one more moment with ones love that defies rational thought, knowing full well, one moment would never be enough, yearning for eternity together.

Vail Snowdaze
I just had one of the best weekends ever! I just got back from Vail Snowdaze where I got to see Ludacris and The Roots perform. I had been planning this weekend for months and I couldn't have asked for it to have been any better! Everything just came together nicely...
On Friday afternoon, My Favorite Guy and I headed into the mountains where we had a fun-filled 48 hours. We started off in Frisco. We decided to rent a room as we were going skiing on Saturday morning at one of the nearby ski resorts - Arapahoe Basin, Keystone or Breckinridge. So that night we drank some vodka, listened to music and chilled in the room. We had to save our energy for skiing...or at least I did. So we got up the next morning and decided to head to Keystone. I was very nervous! (I hadn't been skiing in over 10 years and the last place I went was Deer Mtn.) So we got booted up and headed towards the lifts. I liked the lift. I especially liked that my boss made me take ski goggles! It was snowing and windy for most of the day and that would have been crappy on the eyes. It was an awesome morning of skiing! I ended up doing really well on the slopes. I think I only wrecked a total of 5 times and that included when I went down the moguls - which by the way were very scary and I can't believe I made it! I did have the goal of a hot FG waiting for me when I was done...and I got a hug so that helped! All-in-all I've decided I like skiing, it's very exhausting but very fun! Definitely headed back up the mountain soon!
So at about 1:30 we headed towards Vail. I had rented a room at the Vail Cascade Resort & Spa for the night. It was probably the nicest hotel room I've ever stayed in! Everything was perfect...they gave you a robe to wear, the towels were big, the pillows were fluffy, the bed was soft, there were real glasses, a good radio...the list goes on and on. Anyway, so we get washed up and away we go to the concert. The line into the concert was ridiculous! However, once we got inside it had a very cool vibe.
It was held outdoor and it was snowing when the show started. It was actually pretty awesome being in ski gear at a concert - and one of the best decisions we made as we stayed warm all night! I can't say I've ever been to a concert where it snowed and was twenty degrees out. So, when Luda came out it had just stopped snowing. He was just as awesome as he was at SummerJam! I have to say, he is a great showman and I enjoy his concerts. He entertains!! Everybody was hyped and into the music, it was great!
Another plus was that FG passed the Luda test and got down with me. I didn't see him give me any weird looks so I think I passed his test too. After Luda, The Roots played...they were also very impressive! I do have to say that I liked their vibe better when I saw them at the Fillmore, but they are astonishing musicians to be able to play their instruments in the cold! We were pretty buzzed up when the show ended and needed some food, so we walked back towards Vail Village.
We took a pic by the Xmas tree and walked around a little bit looking at stuff and for a place to eat. We found out that the only place to get food after 10pm in the Village is Vendetta's. It's really good pizza so it was a good fix! We were pretty spent from the day so we headed back to the room where we proceeded to have the fluffiest sleep ever! :-) No really, the beds were so great!!

The Twitch
You know that twitch that happens when you're first falling asleep? The one that makes you feel like you're falling?
I have that twitch but I'm definitely falling.
I read an article once that talked about how people are afraid of 2 things from birth: falling and loud noises. It was really about intimacy with other people and I thought it was pretty interesting. I know a few people that should read it :-)

Busta Rhymes, Chamillionaire, E-40
So as crazy-busy as I am I had a concert to go to the Monday after surgery...yep, I had to go!! I mean it was Busta Rhymes, Chamillionaire and E-40!! Really I just wanted to see Busta, but the other two were bonuses (even though I saw E-40 at Summer Jam). My friend Charli bailed on me at the last minute so I asked my awesome neighbor Jill to go with me. She agreed and was as excited as I was to go, so that was cool. The concert was at a strange venue - Denver Coliseum. The place had enough seating for a few thousand people...but there were only about 500 people total. First of all, the tickets cost $50 so I understand why there weren't that many people...then the venue was not that great. It would have been a much better concert if it were at the Gothic, Fillmore or Ogden. However, I am glad that I spent the money, as Busta was freakin' awesome! Not only is he a lyrical genius that spits at speeds most people cannot even comprehend, he is a great showman! He was there with Spliff Star and it was great to see them perform songs from as early on as 1992 (Scenario - Tribe Called Quest). Busta did perform pretty much every mainstream song that he has, including Touch It, Break Yo Neck, Woohaa!! Got You All In Check, Gimme Some More, Make It Clap and Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Can See. One song I didn't hear was What's It Gonna Be, but he really did need to have Janet there to make it right. He also did a little remix verse for the song Bed by J. Holliday which is one of my favorite songs right now. It made me look at Busta in a whole new light...a sexy light! It was all-in-all a great show and I can't wait for him to come back and play in a more intimate venue!!
Chamillionaire was good too...he was Ridin Dirty! And E-40...he's still trying to get to U and Dat Booty...lol!

No Longer a Surge-Virg
In October I got really sick with what I thought was just a cold. Turns out it was "walking pneumonia". So I got sick at the beginning of the month and was still sick by the end of it even though I saw the doctor, got put on antibiotics, etc. At one point during all of this I coughed so hard that I gave myself an umbilical hernia. The only way to fix the hernia was to have surgery...and since I'm a very active person I figured sooner was better than later to get it taken care of. So I had my surgery last Friday, November 16th. It was pretty scary as it was the first and only surgery I've had in all 27 years of my life. In reality, it was a very simple procedure and only took about 45 minutes to perform. I had to show up at 8am to get checked in and get the IV's started. The next thing I knew I was in the surgery room moving from my bed to the table...then I got "happy medicine"...and I was knocked out until about 11am. I don't remember any thing...didn't even make it to a countdown before I passed out! When I woke up my first reaction was to itch my nose, which was incredibly dry from the oxygen they were pumping into me. My friend Steph helped me out that day by driving me and picking up my prescriptions (she also babied me by getting me cinnamon coated graham crackers, apple juice and mashed potatoes from KFC - all my comfort foods). I love her! After the anesthesia finally wore off I was in some pretty good pain but thankfully had some Percoset to get me thru the next few days...among other things that made me feel better. :-)
I'm an idiot though...I have this stupid, crazy social life and had planned on going to dinner and a movie the very next night with my friends CP, Michelle and her fiance Chris. I planned it all before I knew when I was having surgery so it wasn't intentional...and I couldn't ditch because CP drove down from Montrose and the tickets to the movie (Warren Miller) were already bought. So I sucked it up, took a couple of pills and tried to make the best of it. We had dinner at PF Changs and I was able to make it through that with relatively little pain (thanks the pain meds and the ice pack I had in my shirt the whole time). By the time we made it to the movie my ice pack was no longer cold and I had to ditch it in the car. That was a sad moment as it made me feel so much better than when I didn't have it! So I had to sit thru a 2-hour movie in the crappiest seats ever with my belly button lacerated from surgery. I ended up unbuttoning my pants so that I had room to chill semi-comfortably. I was VERY SORE after the movie and could barely walk back to the car. CP had to help me walk down the street (so grateful for that)! I feel bad cause I'm usually more fun and I know he was looking forward to a wild night on the town. I owe him a raincheck!!
Sunday I kept myself in a Percoset coma...it was fantastic!! Turns out I'm allergic to Percoset (it made me itch uncontrollably) so they switched me to Vicodin the next day...yeah Vicodin!!

Halloween 2007
So, I totally dressed up in 80's for Halloween and it was AWESOME!! All my girlfriends and I went to our buddy Jake's house where we drank unlimited beer, jungle juice and jello shots all night. I stayed in 80's Valley Girl character all night. I'm pretty sure my friends hated me, but I had a great time! The best part was the dancing and music...every time an 80's song came on I would stop whatever I was doing and yell "Oh my God!! This is like totally my favorite song!" and then I would break it down Running Man, Roger Rabbit, and Robot style. I was also Hangin' Tough at one point which was a lot of fun!! The only bad part was that there were no Clydesdales there...hahaha...good times! The picture is of my friend Natalie dressed as a pirate, my friend Leigh dressed as Paris Hilton, and me dressed as 80's girl aka Kelly Kapowski

Maroon 5 at the Fillmore
Tonight Stephanie, Kahlan and I went to the Maroon 5 concert at the Fillmore Auditorium. While I love this venue (especially if I get to stand behind the sound booth as I can see and hear best from that spot), I have to say the concert was slightly disappointing.
Have you ever notice that bands never play your favorite songs??? Yeah, I get that it's really a Kanye West song - (Heard 'em Say), but they could've at least sang me the chorus of it or something! I do have to admit that I did hear all the other songs I thought I would plus some, including Purple Rain, which was the show-ending...but I still left with a feeling of want...
I wish I could have what I want right now...

So much has happened since July!!
I don't even know where to start...
Over the last few months I have been very busy. I can't even believe all of the wonderful things that have happened for me and am very grateful for all of it. I have realized what awesome and very supportive friends I have, as they have all been there for me post breakup (each in their own way) over the last several months. Without my friends I think I would have struggled a little bit. I have also seen JW make improvements in his life and I now know that I made the best decision for both of us. We still remain friends and participate in each other's lives, which is good, as he is still one of my best friends.
Dating - VERY CONFUSING!! There are a lot of creeps out there...and a few good guys. I have dated several different kinds of guys in the last few months. One guy was a lot of fun to hang out with, but was a drama queen when it came to certain things. He was always expecting that I would be a certain way, act a certain way or say certain things. The problem with that is that I am not a "typical" woman. I am different, or at least I like to think I am. He also had issues with women who own dogs...said it's like dating someone who has a kid. I disagree but I see the point he was making. Also, a little snobby...he told me I was ghetto when I told him my favorite snack was a grilled cheese sandwich. If that's ghetto, then I'm ghetto...but come on, what's better than a perfectly made grilled cheese?? He can keep his fancy French cheeses, olives and wine! Needless to say, that one didn't work out, but it was fun while it lasted. He taught me to open my mind and try new things...he also introduced me to his friend, who I am secretly seeing every now and then. Actually, we've been secretly seeing each other at least once a week for the last 3 weeks. I get to see him tonight and I'm very excited! I think I'm twitterpated over this one...but we'll see. I hope it's nothing but great stuff...so far I'm impressed! He's adorably cute, funny, intelligent and affectionate...I was very much looking for the affectionate trait...hope it doesn't end! I want to give the great guy a good shot if he wants to take it!
WHEEL OF FORTUNE!! On July 9th my friend Megan sent out an email that she received from her friend KT...it was an invitation to audition for Wheel of Fortune. Out of all the people she sent it to, 4 of us wanted it. So she made us each pick a number from 1-20...me, being as smart as I am, picked the number 10. She picked 9 - her hockey number. So I won the audition invite. I then had to talk my boss into letting me go to the audition THE NEXT DAY at 2pm. On a normal day he would've had no problem, but this was the day after I just got back from Vegas, so it was a little bit of a struggle getting him to agree. Eventually he did but I had to promise not to tell anybody that I was auditioning for the Wheel...instead I had a doctor's appointment, lol.
The audition - It was held at the Radisson Hotel in Aurora, CO. When I arrived there were about 60 other people in the conference room. They had us sit in chairs in the order that we got there and took our names. We then played mock games, each person getting called randomly, so we had to be paying attention. On my first turn I called a letter that wasn't in the puzzle and had to sit right back down...I thought I blew my shot. But then I was called again later and actually solved the puzzle! I won a sweet WoF hat that says "Spin This" on the back...love it! After everybody took at least one turn, they had us do a 5 minute fill-in-the-blank test. I did very well on this part...I answered at least 2 whole sections out of 4 and was able to get parts of other puzzles. There were a total of 16 different puzzles to solve...one was George Clooney, yeah! After that was over, the contestant coordinators left the room for 15 minutes to decide who was staying and who was going. Out of 60 people, they cut it down to 16...and I made the cut!! For the last part of the audition, they had us stand in the front of the room in groups of 4 and play the game. We even had to pretend we were spinning the wheel and do what we would do if we were on the show (I clapped my hands like a maniac!) We played a couple rounds so they could see what we were like and they had us all sit back down. They then called 8 people back up to play again but in a different position. I was one of the 8...then it was over. They said that we would get our letters in 2 weeks if were chosen and to stop looking in the mailbox after 2 weeks cause that meant we didn't make it. Exactly 2 weeks to the day of the audition, I ran to my mailbox hoping I would get my letter...and nothing. I didn't get it, I thought for sure the coordinator was giving me the vibe I made it...I had even told my boss and everyone that I thought I did. 2 weeks and 2 days later, I GOT THE LETTER!! I was chosen to be a contestant on Wheel of Fortune. The catch - I had to pay for my flight and hotel up front and they had 18 months from the time I got the letter to ask me to be on and would only give me 2 weeks notice - also no guarantee that I would actually be a contestant once I got there. So, let the waiting begin right! In the meantime...I moved out of the apartment I was sharing with JW on August 15th. So I had to get in touch with the WoF people and give them my change of address. Not a big deal, was really easy to change over. Then one day I'm sitting in my boss' office telling him how I needed to get a second job to pay the bills. He told me not to...so I said I guess I'll just try to win the Powerball Jackpot (which happened to be at 320 million at that time), he told me not to bother cause he had the winning ticket. So I then made the comment about how there's always WoF, but I probably wasn't going to go on until the end of 2008...4 hours later I got the phone call from WoF asking me if I was available to tape my show on September 6th. Of course I said YES! 2 weeks later, I was on a plane to Los Angeles with my friends Megan and Stephanie in tow. It was my first visit to LA so we made the most of it. We stayed at the Marriott in Culver City...nice hotel and had a good view (thru smog) of downtown LA. We were only there for 2 days...the first day we opted to take a tour of LA. The tour took us all over the place...we started in Santa Monica, went to Venice Beach (saw where they filmed White Men Can't Jump), walked on the sand and dipped my toes in the ocean. From there we cruised by the Santa Monica Pier up through the Malibu area...went through some fancy neighborhoods and got to see some stars houses, like Bill Cosby, Sugar Ray Leonard, Vanessa Williams, saw the Fresh Prince of Belair house which wasn't in Belair...we then went by UCLA campus towards Rodeo Drive. Didn't get to see any stars on Rodeo (or anywhere else) but it was cool to see the hotel where they filmed Pretty Woman. We then went to Hollywood and I got to see the Walk of Stars, Kodak Theatre and Graumann's Chinese Theatre. From there we went to Mulholland Drive and took scenic pics of LA, the Hollywood Bowl and the famous Hollywood sign. It took us FOREVER to get back to our hotel but it kept my mind off of WoF, so I was good with it. The next morning I was up at the crack of dawn getting ready for my gameshow debut. I had to be at Sony Studios in Culver City by 7:45am. When I got there, there were 18 other contestants and they took us to the "green" room. No, it wasn't actually green but they did provide us with lots of drinks and munchies while we waited. So here's how it works...you get to the studios and they put you in the room with everyone else. They then bring in all the experts to walk you thru the rules and regulations of the game, you sign some paperwork, fill out a contestant card and then wait to find out who you are playing with, what order you will tape in and in what position you will stand. I was chosen to play with Audrey from Austin and Colin from Chicago. We were the 4th show to tape that day and had to watch the previous shows tape...this was good as it gave my brain time to warm up and get ready to solve some puzzles. I got to stand in the Red position, with Audrey at Yellow and Colin at Blue. So then our time came to tape...very nerve-wracking. I didn't win any of the toss up rounds and when I did get to spin, I landed on a spa vacation to Florida for it only to be taken away by a bankrupt on the next spin. I was wishing for them to Lose A Turn/Bankrupt or SOMETHING!! At the commercial break between Round 2 and 3, I must have had the look of defeat on my face. I had no money at that point and barely had a chance to play...the contestant coordinators were doing their best to cheer me on but I was worried. We then get back on our platforms and Pat (who's standing right next to me), turns to me and says "Don't give up, this is anybody's game"...yeah, sure, whatever Pat! And then here's what happens...I finally get my turn and spin. Land on $350, get a letter, buy a vowel...down to $100 profit...spin, land on $5000!! Get two T's...know the puzzle...lots of letters left, but not much time and I had already hit a bankrupt...so I opt to solve the puzzle...Television Theme Songs. I win $10,100 from that puzzle...we have time for one more round and Pat spins. I see it coming, I see it coming...Pat lands on $5,000!! They then add $1,000 to that, so each letter is worth $6,000. It goes around a couple of times and by about the fourth time it's my turn I have $6,000 and call for a "G"...I know the puzzle, so I solve! Guest Speakers...I win $22,100...I didn't make the Bonus Round by only $300!!! Colin ended up going but he was a dumbass and didn't solve the last puzzle...GIVE A HOOT!! The worst part for him was that he had $100,000 in his envelope! Later that night, Megan, Steph and I went to our hotel bar and partied with Audrey and her family. A couple other WoF people joined us and we had a great time getting wasted together. All in all I would have to say that the Wheel of Fortune experience was incredible! I had a great time and was glad that my friends got to join in on it...I hope they had as much fun as I did!
Post-Wheel of Fortune - so the next morning after WoF, we were off to Vegas for a 36 hour layover...we planned it obviously. The MTV VMA's were in town (held at The Palms) so I booked us a room at the Rio and we ended up being able to get in really early since I'm a Harrah's member - sweet cause I didn't realize this and there were 25 people waiting for their room ahead of us. The luck just kept going...while Megan went up to the room to sleep, Stephanie and I decided to try the slots. I sat down at a penny machine and ended up going into a bonus round...while in the bonus round I hit some major lines and ended up winning 44,000 pennies which equates to $440!! I blew the money on various things like dinner, drinks, more gambling. Whatever I wanted...it was great! We ended up never leaving our hotel...later that night we were hanging out in the casino, waiting for dinner time...there were a bunch of screaming people up by the Chippendales theatre, so I just assumed that they were screaming at the half naked men...turns out that LUDACRIS was having his birthday party there. The point of realization - we're walking up to see what all the hoopla was about and I stop dead in my tracks and say "Shut the F- up! That's Ludacris right there!" Steph and Megan didn't believe me, but being the huge fan that I am, I knew it was him so we joined the group of crazy screaming people. Steph took the best pic of Luda ever!! That was the highlight of my trip!! Everything that happened at the club (Voodoo Lounge) pales in comparison, especially since there were nothing but weirdos and losers there (though we did party with a couple of cool people). Steph headed back to the room early and Megan and I stayed up partying. We ended up meeting some guys from Cali and had breakfast with them...then I finally crashed at about 6am...made it over 24 hours baby!! We were happy to be back in Denver once the plane landed...
More adventures to come later...this is probably good for now :-)

Spa Day and Pre-Vegas Plans
This Friday I'm going to go to the spa for the first time ever. I am very excited about it as I'm making a big deal of it...I'm going to get a facial, eye treatment, 1 hour massage and a pedicure. Of all those things I have only had a massage before and it was to treat car accident injuries...so, needless to say, Friday is going to be great for me!
Not only is it spa day, I took the entire day off. I will get to sleep in or do whatever I want-all day! It's been a few weeks since I've had some time to myself, so I'm looking forward to it.
Saturday will be a busy day too! There is a lot to be done with the Vegas trip coming up. Jen, Steph and I are going shopping on Saturday afternoon for some clubbing gear. Looking forward to it as we are meeting up for some Famous Dave's bbq first. Then we will head to some stores and hopefully I can score at least one shirt to match my new sparkly silver sandals! After we exhaust ourselves shopping we are going to head over to our friend Emily's house and help her break in her new deck. Looking forward to it as it's going to be a pretty social event - they are planning drinking competitions to mix up the entertainment value a little.
Finally, no plans on Sunday, but most of that day will be spent doing laundry and giving the dog some much needed attention. Just have to make it thru Monday at that point...then an easy half day Tuesday...come lunch time, I'm off to Blondie's for a little pre-Vegas partying and off to the airport we go!

Halloween Baby!
Yes, I know Halloween is still so many months away, but I'm gearing up for it already! I'm thinking about going with an 80's look this year. I found these great neon splatter paint glasses on this website called fredflare.com. I also found a sweet NKOTB shirt with a picture of Jordan on it at urbanoutfitters.com...I'm pretty sure the 80's are making a comeback and I'm going to try to bring back the trend...hahaha...starting with big hair!
Las Vegas
I am heading to Las Vegas for a girls only weekend and there's only 15 days to go! I am so excited! I have been to Vegas before but the BF was there with me so I didn't get to see any banana hammocks, or even any titties (except my own)! I am going with my friends Stephanie, Jen, Kahlan and Charli. We are staying at the Monte Carlo hotel and we were able to get good prices since we booked early (try January!) It also didn't hurt that I only put 2 people in the room...we're not even supposed to have 5, but Charli isn't getting there until Thursday night anyway.
We will be going from July 3rd - July 7th. It was my idea to take this trip, as I wanted to be in Vegas for 07-07-07 - luck be a lady that night!! We are planning on doing quite a few things while we're there besides gambling. We bought a couple of different passes that supposedly make it cheaper to do things. One is the Vegas Powerpass which will allow us to go see Madam Tussauds Wax Museum, the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art, go to the top of the Stratosphere and ride on some rollercoasters. I can't wait to see the wax museum and take my pic with George Clooney while wearing a wedding dress (the first one I will have ever tried on, I might add!) We also bought this other pass, called the Vegas Passport. It's supposed to get us into a lot of the popular clubs, cover included and VIP express lines. I hope to see some cute celebrity but I'm not going to hold my breath...
Other than that, we will be doing lots of lounging by the pool, eating (probably not so much for me) and TONS of drinking! I'm planning on getting a tattoo to cover up an old tattoo that I decided to give myself back in high school for whatever reason. I'm thinking about getting an eagle feather with a pink ribbon around part of it, to honor my grandmother (who had breast cancer but survived with no complications) and my aunt (who died from breast cancer this year). It will also honor any other woman in my family that might have to fight off this disease, specifically my mom, who will be getting a biopsy done on her breasts later in July. Cross your fingers that it all comes back okay!!
Anyways, back to VEGAS: All-in-all, I think it will be a good trip! I will post some pics and stories when we get back...in the meantime, the countdown has begun! 15 DAYS...
Not so good...
So I was trying to be a regular blogger and just couldn't stick with it. I got a new job last October and ever since then I haven't had a whole lot of free time. I love my new job though and it has made the time fly by. I have a lot of things to write about that have happened in the last several months but am at work right now so I will wait until later to dish the goods...

About Me
- sheashedeed
- I was born and raised in Rapid City, SD. Loved growing up there and am a little sad that my theoretical kids won't be able to grow up there - unless, God forbid, I move back. I moved away for college to Omaha, NE. I went to Creighton University. Great education, great professors - not a good place for young people with an itch for action! I moved to Denver in August of 2004 and love it! I recommend that all people live in at least one other place besides their hometown - the world is so full of opportunities, we just have to move out of comfort zones!
