January so far...

Well I have already had a pretty productive January! I am starting to look into taking my GMATs so that I can go to Grad school. I need to study desperately and bought a book to help me out with that...it's going to be difficult to buckle down and do it! I also need to pick a school which is another part of the battle...not sure if I want to go cheap and easy or if I want to apply to a decent school and pay more. Hmmm...too many choices! I am also working on being spontaneous...my FG and I are trying to plan a little getaway together for a date some time in the next 30 days. We are debating on Jamaica, Costa Rica and Puerto Rico. I don't really care where we go as long as it's warm and there's a beach for me to lounge on! I'm just sick of this damn 15 degree weather - way too cold!! Speaking of the FG...he invited me to a really great concert a few weeks ago, Xavier Rudd. We drove up to Boulder last Friday to see him and had an amazing time. The music and atmosphere was awesome and I couldn't have asked for a better show! FG's friends are really cool and were awesome to me so it made the whole experience even more enjoyable. We also went to the National Western Stock Show the next night on a double date to the rodeo with his friends Jon&Mon. They are really fun to hang out with and we all had a good time watching the mutton bustin'. FG shaved his beard into a sweet cowboy mustache for the event and unbelievably, I'm kind of attached to it. I think he looks cute with it but I really can't explain why I like it...I know the next time I see him it will be gone :( I also joined a bowling league on Monday nights with a bunch of my friends. Right now my average is bad but I bowled a 154 last night so I think there's hope for me! The season lasts until the end of April so there's lots of practice time left. On top of bowling, I am also starting another volleyball league, though it's only with work people so it's not going to be very competitive. It should be a lot of fun though...I always enjoy talking smack to people I work with! What else?...My sister Ashlee is supposed to be moving here by the end of the month so we'll start working on her goals as soon as she gets her butt here. I hope she's ready to start her life in the "real world"...I'm a little worried that she wants to stay on "summer vacation" and I'm going to have to break out the mean older sister. I have faith in her though so I think we'll do alright. I also started taking Kona to doggie daycare in the hopes that the whining will subside. So far it is working and I've been taking her a couple times a week. It's good exercise for her at the very least!

I guess that's it for now...more updates to come soon!

New Years 2008

I had a really great New Years 2008! It was weird how it all turned out though...I thought I was going to end up on my couch alone for NYE, when out of the blue, my FG decided he did want to "ring in the new year" together. I had been keeping my schedule pretty open and undecided for him...I really like him and wanted to get to know more about him. Holidays definitely bring out the undiscovered side of people! We ended up going with his friends, Anish and Monica, to Jon and Monica's (a different one obviously), where they were having a nice little get together. It consisted of lots of shots, beers and Wii! I had never played it before...after one boxing match and a game of tennis I was tired...and my muscles were sore for 3 days! It was a lot of fun though! One thing I really liked about it was right before midnight...Jon asked everyone to name one thing good that happened to them in 2007. My FG was one of my good things...and that little bit of money I won, which I STILL HAVE NOT COLLECTED!! LOL...

Anyway, I hope that this new year brings me great excitement and joy, great love and lots of adventure...and I hope that I accomplish every goal I set for myself...

So far, so good...I added drinking a Nalgene of water before I leave work every day and so far I've made it 6 days in a row! YEAH!!!

About Me

My photo
I was born and raised in Rapid City, SD. Loved growing up there and am a little sad that my theoretical kids won't be able to grow up there - unless, God forbid, I move back. I moved away for college to Omaha, NE. I went to Creighton University. Great education, great professors - not a good place for young people with an itch for action! I moved to Denver in August of 2004 and love it! I recommend that all people live in at least one other place besides their hometown - the world is so full of opportunities, we just have to move out of comfort zones!
